MILLBURY, Mass. - The Millbury Boys Basketball Team rolled over the Leicester Wolverines 80 - 58 on Friday night in Millbury.

Utlilizing a quick start and with some crisp passing the Woolies raced out to a big 49 - 27 lead at halftime. They victimized the Wolverines time and again by jumping on errant passes and were sinking 3 point shots from the perimeter.

The second half started out much the same with the Woolies racing out to 54 - 27 and this one seemed over. But the Woolies shooting went cold for the remainder of the third quarter and it would end with Wolverines on a 12-0 run to narrow the lead down to 13 at 59-46.

Leiceister would further cut into the lead with Jake Morrow getting a couple of baskets down in the paint to cut Millbury's lead to just nine. But a three point play on the other end calmed down the restless Millbury crowd as nd Jake Morrow made a layup and was fouled. After sinking the free throw and bringing the lead back up to 12, Leicester seemed to fade  and the Woolies caught their second wind.

Scott Barrows who lead all scorers with 21 sank a couple of nice shots down the stretch as the Woolies again stretched their lead back to 15 with 1:48 left. Leicester at that point was forcing 3 point shots and their hot thrid quarter was by then a memory as the Woolies re-assumed a 22 point lead with just seconds remaining.

This was a solid win for the Woolies who also got a strong game from  Brian Balkus who scored 20 points, Dakota Miller chipped in with 11 points as did Tristan Cano.
